Headline reads, "She’s wasting away"
“…And those scars will never fade.”
We measure beauty by what you weigh.
This world is not ok.
You are beautiful the way you are
How far is too far?
Abs of steel will disappear,
You’re still attractive no matter what you hear.
Remember to take care of yourself,
Don’t ever compromise your health.
Maybe your eyes are beautiful?
Maybe it’s your heart?
What is the window to your soul?
There’s always at least one part. (Adam Crozier BMI 2012)
Its Summer, And we are all hitting the gym and tanning for
that last minute upgrade before we hit the beaches, pools and parties in our
swim trunks. It’s ok to want to feel your
best and be healthy, but to what extreme do we go?
A couple of verses I studied on this week really hit home
about what how we are to approach our self and self worth.
(The two verses that inspired BEAUTIFUL)
Psalm 139:13,14 “ For you formed my inward parts; you knitted
me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and
wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
1 Peter 3:3,4 “Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding
of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let
your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of
a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.”
God Made
us, that is enough, we are beautiful the way we are . Our physical appearance isn’t what is
important... It’s our heart. So, as we go through
this summer and think, “I wish I looked like…” Remember that your beauty is
your heart, a “gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.”
“You are
fearfully and wonderfully made.”
